During this time of Pride Month, we honor LGBTQ+ artists like Pain Behavior and their gifted musical abilities. Pain Behavior is a musician who creates songs with depth and meaning, as well as a grim edge. Pain Behavior recently released the song Heavy Light, which premiered on May 20th and is a moving tribute to both life and human connection. They also have several other songs, including Warrior, which, like its name, has a powerful story to tell. They discuss the sorrow as well as the inspiration of someone they once loved in a destructive way. Pain Behavior's commitment to pride doesn't stop there. They also took part in the annual Venice Pride event, where they performed and re-iterated their support. Pain Behavior is on the rise, and we're excited to see what they do next. Please read on to learn more about Pain Behavior and their musical path, as well as the inspiration and stories behind their songs, Heavy Light and Warrior, and their opinions on the importance of Venice pride.

Speaking of amplifying voices, TikTok has become an important vehicle for the LGBTQIA + community to express themselves. Many gay, non-binary, and gender varying influencers have built meaningful platforms on TikTok; proving it remains a safe place for LGBTQIA + youth and allies.
Dreams Come True, Polartropica's debut album, creates a sonically tangible nexus into her ethereal fantasy dimension. The LA based, Taiwanese born pop star uses a unique combination of futuristic synths and classical string arrangements to generate her signature celestial sound. She remains true to her indie electropop roots, as seen in her 2016 EP Astrodreams.
The 10 track album explores the complexities between the reciprocal elements that make up Polartropica. It is an examination both fleeting, yet crucial. The album dials in on Polartropica's relationships, world news and her experiences as a queer Asian-American living in California.
Polartropica’s beliefs and values can seen through her actions and lifestyle. She embraces her LGBTQ identity and holds fundraisers for the LGBTQ community and the Los Angeles LGBTQ center. Please read our exclusive interview here to learn more about Polartropica.
Pride month is a time to celebrate our LGBTQ+ sisters, brothers, and everything in between, but to also recognize the fight they have had to, and continue to, overcome. In my completely unbiased opinion, the LGBTQ+ community is one of the most amazing groups of people. No matter what is thrown at them they continue to shine, literally and figuratively, and Stephanie Rice is no exception. Despite coming from a very religious family who couldn’t accept her for all that she is, she is taking on the world by storm. Music was always her first love, but she has also tackled the science field, putting out important AIDS research, has been on The Voice, and her new single “Pages” is just beautiful. To learn more about this passionate creative woman, please read our exclusive interview here.
