Jejune’s cover feature for November is actress Sheila Vand. Sheila Vand is known for her powerful indie roles, such as her dark character in A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night and her most recent role of a battered wife and mother in We The Animals both acclaimed films at the Sundance Film Festival. She is of Iranian decent, and her breakthrough role was in 2012 for the movie, Argo, as the character Sahar.
Sheila is a talented actress that likes to stick to roles that inspire and challenge her, she considers herself more of an artist. She is choosing to make more bold and selective choices to stay true to her passion. She also enjoys working with female directors and giving women more of a voice in cinema.
It was a pleasure meeting and working with Sheila that day. We had fun creating this story for her. We themed the creative direction around glitz, and glamour, and the rise of a shining star. Jejune feels she is ready to Starshine!
