Jejune is super excited about the representation Nathaniel is getting out there, as she is one of CW’s first non-binary BIPOC characters! To get to know more about our wonderful cover model, Rhoyle, please read our exclusive interview below.

Where are you currently based?
I’m currently in Los Angeles, California.

What inspired you to begin acting?
It really was my middle school theatre teacher pushing me to do a Shakespeare camp. It’s the number one thing I think of when it comes to encouraging schools to keep drama teachers and programs. I don’t know where I would be without them.

We know that you star in the CW series, “All American: Homecoming” and that the new second season recently premiered. What was your favorite thing about working on this series and working with your cast mates?
Honestly, I would say that it would be the group of people I get to work with. From our Showrunners to the crew. It’s a pleasure every day on set.

What is something you admire about your character, Nathaniel?
Currently, how she’s taking on her fears. Nate’s in that scary stage of leaping into her dreams and not knowing what is on the other side. I admire how she’s doing that, knowing that “being easy” was never promised.

How does it feel to star as one of CW’s first non-binary BIPOC characters?
A true honor. I can’t wait to see more queer characters breakthrough on TV.

All American: Homecoming is a sports drama, so it is especially exciting to have a non-binary charachter. Can you speak on your thoughts on this?
My favorite part of this is her best friendship with the captain of one of the sports teams JR. It’s actually such an important relationship to me, because friendships between two characters like this are very rarely seen. It’s really cool that Sylvester and I are just as good of friends outside of the show as well. My brother.

We also know that you star in Netflix’s new series, “Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.” How was your experience working on that? Can you tell us a bit about being on this crazy set?
The biggest take away was the master class that is Evan Peters. The detail and commitment he puts into his work is absolutely incredible.

How do you feel about BIPOC LGBTQ+ representation in the film and television industry? What would you like to see change?
To continue breaking past the stereotypes that have been established with Queer roles. I think the greatest move towards that is more Queer professionals on the other side of the lens.

We love that you’re passionate about fashion! What is your go-to article of clothing these days and why? Any tips for this fall season?
Honestly there’s nothing I’ve been into more than a matching set. Like an Adidas tracksuit for example. I think it’s because I’ve been on the go, and it provides a layer incase there’s a chill.

You had some really great looks in All American: Homecoming, did you have a favorite? Did you get to add input with your looks?
Oh it’s hard to say a favorite, there’s quite a few. I’m still not over the suit I wore at the end of the Season 2 premiere. Our designer, Joe, deserves all the credit for Nate's remarkable looks this season.

You are insanely beautiful, what goes into your day to day look?
I appreciate that! I would say the most important thing for me is getting as close to eight hours of sleep as possible, staying hydrated, and working out.

We also know you enjoy fitness. What is your favorite fitness-related activity right now, and why?
Running has been my favorite for years now. It’s exhilarating, and it opens my mind to daydream. I’m a very visionary person, so the combination of running and allowing my music to paint pictures in my head is thrilling.

It has been a very interesting year, how are you keeping calm and staying grounded?
I just focus on what’s in my grasp. Anytime I feel my anxiety rising, I make myself slow down, and focus on what I can do right now.

Do you have any hobbies or hidden talents?
I like taking on creative visual projects, it’s a hobby of mine.

What is your motto in life? What do you do to live by your motto?
“If there’s anything I can bet on, it’s myself” - Beyoncé. Just always continue to push myself, and develop a deeper work ethic.
