Some Of The Best All Natural Haircare

I think it’s fair to say that most of us are now on board with the natural skincare hype. Whether it’s totally scientifically justified or not, there’s something innately satisfying about relying on Mother Nature to help us cleanse, tone and moisturise. Yet by focusing on our faces, we may be ignoring a whole other world of potentially brilliant natural products. I’m talking natural haircare, and I’m doing it right now.

Evolvh Haircare
Based on amino acids (which are actually proteins – who knew?) this range is all 90+% organic content, and consistently sulphate, paraben and sodium chloride free. The result is a range that is both natural and effective. Their Ultrashine Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner are stalwarts of my routine, and the SmartVolume Leave In Conditioner ingeniously adds texture and hydration in one.

Abba Haircare
Abba were the first haircare brand to pioneer a 100% vegan ingredients list, and their products are sulphate, paraben, phthalate, synthetic color and sodium chloride free. Aside from all that good stuff, the make really interesting, innovative products that put a twist on some classics. I am particularly fond of their volume serum, which combines smoothing and repairing with texturizing, and their Style Gel, which can be applied wet to hair prone to frizz or fluffiness to help it form a more cohesive “style.”

Davines
Although Davines walks the borderline between natural and … non-natural haircare, their products are decidedly amazing and worth a mention. They have also earned the sustainability stripes, and are family owned, so you can still get the fuzzy feeling while using their products. Their conditioners are my top picks – NouNou - if you’re supremely damaged, and Love - if you just want hot girl hair.

Kind Natured
All formulas by Kind Natured are 97% natural in ingredient origin. They’re also made in England, giving me a soft spot for them. Their Coconut and Shea Colour Care range has seen me through many an ill-advised home dye job, and smells totally amazing. This is also by far the most affordable natural hair range I’ve encountered.

Hanz De Fuko
Specialising in men’s styling products, I can see why you may assume this isn’t the range for me. How wrong you’d be – this sulphate and paraben free range has a shampoo and conditioner that have absolutely blown me away. They smell like mint and leave hair that perfect balance between clean and moisturised. Don’t overlook their clays and waxes, either: they’re ideal for adding shape and hold even to decidedly not-men’s hair.
