Fashionable Shoes Without Killing Animals

Made-in-Italy, born in London, NAK (‘No Animal Killed’) luxury shoe brand today announced the online launch of its latest cruelty-free collections for women.  A champion of conscious fashion, NAK developed the range using vegan materials which mimic the quality of animal leather, but without harming animals in the process.

“We made it our mission to find an alternative to leather and what we found were materials that we believe are of superior quality.  Our NAK materials are not only incredibly soft, but also breathable, waterproof and three times lighter than animal leather,” Sarah Palestrini, General Manager at NAK Fashion said.

Since its signature collection launched in 2014, the brand has become synonymous with high-tech vegan materials. And yet, NAK Founders have attributed much of the brand’s success to expert craftsman in Italy who have transformed their materials into luxury footwear that feels as good as it looks.

“For us, how a shoe is made is just as important as how it looks which is why we have partnered with some of the best artisans in Italy to design and handcraft our shoe collection. Our materials are also sourced close to production in Northern Italy in hope of minimising our overall impact on the environment.”

NAK has already gained widespread attention, particularly with the growing number of vegan shoppers. According to figures from the Vegan Society, the number of vegans in the UK has risen 350 percent over the past ten years, with 42 percent aged between 15 and 34.  “We are a vegan fashion brand, but we want our appeal to extend to anyone looking for ethical fashion accessories to match their lifestyle,” Sarah added.

The Fashionist collection is made up of eight styles, divided between men and women. From Chelsea boots to platform sneakers, the style is intrinsically British, but with the fine markings of Italian craftsmanship.

NAK shoes start from £200 and can be purchased exclusively through www.nakfashion.com. And, Instagram: @nakfashion
